Harrison Township consists of 6.276 square miles in northern Montgomery County, just north of Dayton. There are 91 miles of roadways in the township, and we benefit from excellent transportation links to Interstates 75 and 70 as well as several state routes. Downtown Dayton is a 10-minute drive from most areas of the township, and the Dayton International Airport is about 15 minutes away. About 800 businesses operate in our community, mostly service and retail-oriented. As a result, our residents find shopping and everyday errands to be quick and convenient. The township government supports local businesses through the Development Department and there’s room to grow in Harrison Township as well. Sites are still available for residential, commercial and industrial development. Our park and playground facilities offer the perfect setting for a large family gathering, a company picnic, a nature walk, an outing with the kids or a Frisbee toss among friends. Our contract with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office provides police services for all township residents and business owners and we have a full time fire department, along with EMS, located in our two full time fire stations.
