Before
doing laundry...
This
type of testing can cause the water to turn rusty brown, so be sure
to check your water before doing laundry during this period. After
testing has been completed in your area, let sink water run until the
discoloration has disappeared. Once there is no discoloration,
it is again safe to do laundry. Questions? Please contact
the Harrison Township Fire Administration Office at 274-4351.
Harrison
Township Garage Sale Weekend
If
you like garage sales, you'll love being in Harrison Township the weekend
of July 17-19. On streets and in neighborhoods all over town,
people will be joining in the fun of community-wide days for garage
sales. Any township resident planning a garage sale this summer
is encouraged to hold it at their home on this weekend. Sponsored
by the Neighborhood Presidents Association, this project is intended
to promote neighbor-to-neighbor interaction. "The goal is
for the residents of Harrison Township to get out in the community and
speak with their neighbors and also take advantage of some great deals,"
said Jack Kuntz, Assistant Development Director for the township.
The presidents are hoping this will give the various neighborhood associations
an opportunity to spread the word about when and where their groups
meet and to explain some of the unique projects their groups are working
on.
