Below are some of these new and exciting projects which Harrison Township staff has been working on in the recent months. Please take time to read a quick summary about some of the new projects and click on the link for more in-depth information about each project.
In early 2009, township staff began working on a partnership with Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church on the corner of Siebenthaler and Salem Avenues. Ft. McKinley U.M., a campus of Ginghamsburg United Methodist in Tipp City, Ohio, had recently made a commitment to the Ft. McKinley community to help transform the neighborhood to be “the best neighborhood in Montgomery County.” Through many meetings and various endeavors, Harrison Township and Ft. McKinley staff began working on many different projects together in the hopes of redeveloping the Ft. McKinley community in a steady, more focused direction than previous efforts had allowed for.
Ome Gardens Sanitary/Sewer Project In 2007 the Development Department was awarded $1,200,000 for the construction of new streets and storm sewer in the northern section of the Ome Gardens plat.
