Planning & Studies: Shaping a Stronger Harrison Township
At Harrison Township, thoughtful planning is key to creating vibrant neighborhoods and thriving business areas. Recently, we partnered with the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) on the Turner Road Study — a collaborative effort focused on activating the old Hara site and revitalizing the surrounding areas. This study lays the groundwork for new opportunities and improvements that will benefit residents and businesses alike.
We also completed OSI-1, a zoning update that redefined two key areas within the township to be more welcoming for both neighbors and local businesses. These changes help ensure development fits the community’s character while encouraging economic growth.
Through these projects and ongoing studies, our goal is to balance smart growth with community values—making Harrison Township a place where people want to live, work, and play.
